Shepherds Rock Bible Church Biblical Counseling

Shepherd's Rock Bible Church Bibical Counseling
Shepherd’s Rock Biblical Counseling ministry believes that God’s counsel is desperately needed these days. God’s Word is sufficient and provides everything necessary to know Him and live in a way that is pleasing to Him. The person who follows God’s counsel can have hope, contentment, and answers to all the problems and pressures of life.
What kind of Counseling?
Currently, SRBC offers Biblical counseling to women. The counseling is based on the Bible, God’s Word is sufficient to answer the problems of life and is superior to any other source of counsel.
Who Counsels?
Miyoshi Gardner had been trained in Biblical counseling for over 25 years and is currently pursuing certification with Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).
What does counseling cost?
The counseling is free. Workbooks or required reading are the responsibility of the individual but may be provided by SRBC. We then ask for a donation to cover resources and materials. SRBC provides the facilities, and the counselors volunteer their services and time. We believe this is an outreach to our community and the surrounding area.
When will I be counseled?
Counseling is available on most Wednesdays, by appointment only. Sometimes a counselor may not be immediately available and there may be a waiting period.
How long will counseling last?
Counseling sessions typically last for one hour each week for approximately 10-12 weeks. The number of sessions may be shortened or lengthened depending on progress made.
Confidentiality
Everything is strictly confidential except where, in the counselor’s judgement, there is a Biblical requirement to involve other.
Homework
Homework is assigned and must be completed between counseling sessions to ensure lasting change. Weekly assignments must be completed in order to continue counseling.
Where do I begin?
To enquire about counseling, please contact Miyoshi Gardner at miyoshig@aol.com. She will send you the intake forms and the Personal Data Inventory (PDI). Once she has received the completed forms, she will contact you to schedule an appointment.
We look forward to working together with you to help you grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
