About Shepherd's Rock Bible Church
Shepherd's Rock Bible Church is a confessional Reformed Baptist church in Kingsport, Tennessee. We desire to be a congregation shaped by the authority of Scripture, strengthened by the gospel of Jesus Christ, and marked by reverent worship, loving fellowship, and faithful discipleship.
Who We Are
Shepherd's Rock is made up of men, women, and children from many backgrounds who have been brought together through the saving work of Christ. We are not united by preferences or personality, but by a shared confidence that God's Word is true and sufficient.
Our aim is to be a local church where believers are equipped, families are strengthened, and visitors are welcomed with clarity, warmth, and truth.
What Shapes Us
We believe the Bible is the final authority for faith and life. Our church gladly stands within the stream of historic Baptist confessionalism, and our doctrinal convictions are closely reflected in the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
In both pulpit and classroom, we seek to handle the Scriptures with care, preach Christ plainly, and help believers grow in holiness, discernment, and love for the Lord.
What To Expect
When the church gathers, we want the focus to remain on the Lord and His Word. Our services are shaped by prayer, Scripture reading, congregational singing, preaching, and fellowship among the saints.
Alongside the Lord's Day gathering, Shepherd's Rock also offers midweek Bible study and other teaching opportunities designed to help believers grow in biblical understanding and steady Christian maturity.
